The foreigner customer must present his / her contract work paper and have the permanent or temporal VISA stamped on the passport in order to have special treatment for their House Hold Goods.

If our customer is Diplomatic, he/she will be exempt of duties if they are accredited at counselor office (Ministry of External Relationships).

If our customer is Bolivian who is returning to the country after two years or more depending of their passport do not pay taxes for the House Hold Goods and personal effects used. If there were new stuffs they will have to pay about 30% of the CIF value.

The importer must pay the THC and extra charges of the customs officer.

 

There is a new law (regulation) refrigerators, coolers, and air condition systems, all these mentioned items must have an official certificate where indicates that will not damage the o-zone, the cost of inspection by IBNORCA for this fact is around US$35.oo. There is also another inspection that is made by SENASAC for wooden furniture, the cost of it is around US$ 35.oo.

It is important that it has its invoice, the vehicle must not be older than five since it was made, otherwise it is not allowed to get in Bolivia.

Pets are allowed to get in Bolivia only if they have a veterinarian certificate where indicates that the pet does not have any stickness.

O B/L (Master) or AWB Must be originals and showing the freights in US Dollars.
